GOA CARNIVAL - GOA

A grand gala fest involving grand balls, bands, night-outs, music and color, Goa carnival is a feasting-drinking-merrymaking orgy just before the austere 40 days of Lent. The festival, originally started by the Portuguese in the 18th century, is celebrated in February and attracts thousands of tourists from around the globe. Goa , with its heavenly beaches, takes on an even more cheerful look during the carnival which is celebrated by persons from all religions and walks of life. Day 01 Arrive Mumbai
Welcome to India ! Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 Mumbai
Morning after breakfast full day sightseeing tour of Mumbai city visiting Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Mondays), Fish Aquarium, Jain Temples, Hanging Gardens on the slopes of Malabar Hills offering nice view of Marine Lines and Chowpatty Beach, Kamla Nehru Park, Gateway of India and Marine drive. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 Mumbai – Goa
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to the airport to board flight to Goa . Assistance on arrival at the airport transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free of leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 Goa
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day independent leisure activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 Goa
Morning after breakfast, sightseeing tour of Goa Visit the temple of Shri Mangesh, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on a hillock at Proil – in Ponda Taluka. Though small, the temple has an air of distinct elegance and its lofty white tower is a landmark of the country side, Also visit the Shantadurga Temple and Shri Ramnath Temple .

Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus built in the 16th century, wherein is enshrined in an ornate silver casket, the body of St. Francis Xavier, most popular and famous of all churches in Goa – St. Cathedral, the biggest in Goa – Church of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Cajetan Church, built in the style of St. Peters Basilican in Rome, Church of Rosary and Nunnery of St. Monica. Rest of the day free of leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 Goa
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day celebration on Carnival. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07 Goa
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day free of leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08 Goa – Mumbai-Depart
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to the airport to board flight to Mumbai. Assistance on arrival at the domestic airport and transfer to International airport to board flight home with the sweet memories of your enchanting holiday with Indian Festival Tours .
