International Kite Festival - Ahmedabad

International Kite Festival is a unique festival celebrated at Ahmedabad in Gujrat on the Auspicious Makar Samkranti (January 14). Apart from display flying showcasing skills of the participants, the festival also includes fighter kite competitions. Day 01 Arrive Mumbai
Welcome to India ! Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 Mumbai
Morning after breakfast Excursion to Elephanta Caves (closed on Mondays) – from the Gateway of India take a motor launch to the 7th century sculptures of manifestation of Shiva. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Mumbai city visiting Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Mondays), Fish Aquarium, Jain Temples , Hanging Gardens on the slopes of Malabar Hills offering nice view of Marine Lines and Chowpatty Beach , Kamla Nehru Park and Marine drive. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 Mumbai – Bhuj
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to the airport to board flight to Bhuj. Assistance on arrival and transfer to the safari lodge which is located approx 14 kms outside the town. In the afternoon visit the Katchh Museum which, built in 1877, is the oldest museum in Gujarat . Overnight at the lodge.

Day 04 Bhuj
Morning after breakfast Jeep Safari in the Rann of Katchh - Home to the famous Indian Wild Ass and a number of exotic birds coming from as far as Siberia . Overnight at the lodge.

Day 05 Bhuj - Wankaner
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Wankaner. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. After noon visit to a small princely state Wankaner is a small sleepy town. Visit the nearby Bharwad tribe village to see their lifestyle. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 06 Wankaner
Morning after breakfast visit to the personal museum of the prince. Afternoon free of leisure. In the evening dinner at the main palaces accompanied by folk dances. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07 Wankaner - Sasan Gir
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Sasan Gir en-route visiting Junagarh, which is an ancient city at the foot of Girnar. Among the attractions of Junagarh are the Uparkot fort and the Ashokan Rock edicts, which date back to 250 B.C. Continue on to Sasangir. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 Sasan Gir
Morning after breakfast Wild life viewing at Sasan Gir Park . Besides providing shelter to over 30 species of mammals, 20 species of reptiles and several species of birds it is the home for the King of the jungle – the Asiatic Lion. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 Sasan Gir - Ahmedpur Mandvi
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Ahmedpur Mandvi upon arrival check in at the Hotel. Afternoon visit Ahmedpur  Mandvi  is  one  of  the  finest  beaches  on  the  Gujarat  shoreline. The  beach  is  white  and  firm,  ideal  for walks, and   the  water  perfect for  swimming.  A variety of Water  sports options  are   on  offer-water  scooters,  skiing,  surfing,  Para sailing, speed  boat trips. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Ahmedpur Mandvi – Bhavnagar
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Bhavnagar upon arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit to Bhavnagar . Founded in 1743 Bhavnagar today is a flourishing port on the Gulf of Khambhat .

Day 11 Bhavnagar
Morning after breakfast drive to Palitana is one of the most sacred shrines of Jainism. Located at the foot of the Shatrunjaya Hills rising in a crescendo of 863 magnificent temples, totalling 863 in number.later drive back to Bhavnagar Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 Bhavnagar – Ahmedabad
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Ahmendabad upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free of leisure overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 Ahmedabad
Morning after breakfast City tour of Ahmedabad – some of the principal attractions are the Jumma Masjid, Sarkhej Roza, Rani Rupmati Masjid, Siddi Syed Mosque, Tran Darwaza, Dada Harini Vav, Gandhi Ashram, etc. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 Ahmedabad
Morning after breakfast visit to the Calico Textile Museum - one of the finest textile museums in the world with a rare collection of textiles, which date back to 17th century. Also visit the Shreyas Museum of folk art. Afternoon free. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 Ahmedabad (Kite Festival)
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day enjoy by flying kites and other activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 16 Ahmedabad – Delhi
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to the airport to board flight to Delhi . Assistance on arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon Afternoon tour of New Delhi will include visits to the Embassy area, India Gate, the Secretariat Buildings , the President's Palace, Parliament House and the Raj Ghat Memorial to Mahatma Ghandi. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 17 Depart Delhi
