Golconda Festival ---Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh)

This is festival organized by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department in February to showcase the cultural heritage of the city of Golconda to the world. Art forms reminiscent of the Qutub Shahi era are staged along with other cultural events. Eminent musicians, dancers and other artistes bless the event with blissful performances. Day 01 Arrival Mumbai
Welcome to India. Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 Mumbai
Morning after breakfast full day sightseeing tour of Mumbai city visiting Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Mondays), Fish Aquarium, Jain Temples, Hanging Gardens on the slopes of Malabar Hills offering nice view of Marine Lines and Chowpatty Beach, Kamla Nehru Park, Gateway of India and Marine drive. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 Mumbai – Visakhapatnam
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to the airport

to board flight to Visakhapatnam. Assistance on arrival at the airport transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit to Vuda Beach, Museum and the Massicve Port Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 Visakhapatnam
Morning after breakfast at the hotel. Full day excursion to Borra Caves Araku Valley and simhchalam Temple Borra

Araku Valley:- location is at a height of 800 to 1300 meters from MSL. William King the British geologist discovered this million years old cave in the year 1807.Borra Caves are located at a distance of 92 Km north of Visakhapatnam. The caves open with 100 meter on horizontal plane and aobut 75 meters on vertical plane. These caves spread over an area of one square KM and the origin of river Gosthani which flows through the district.

Simbachalam Temple Borra:-Simhachalam - the hill of the lion is located at a distance of 18 km from Sishakapatnam refers to the 11th century temple of Lord Narasimha - an incarnation of Vishnu. Millions of devotees from round the world visit this temple every year. The Kalyana Mandapa within the temple has 16 pillars with bas relief depicting the incarnations of Vishnu. There is a rest house available for staying and performing puja, mirages , functions Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 Visakhapatnam – Rajamundry
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Rajamundry. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Later visit to majestic Draksharama Temple In its architecture, the Draksharama temple shows a beautiful and harmonious blend of the Chola and Chalukya in adaptation, which can only styles and shows a catholicity result by decades of close admixture. The Western gopura is an amazing structure with seven stories. In the Mukha Mantapa, there are pillars with scenes depicted in sculpture, which clearly must be only Chalukya in origin.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 Rajamundry - Vijaywada
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Vijaywada upon arrival check in at the hotel. After noon excursion to Kondapali village which is famous for Unique Wooden Toys & kanaka Durga Temple Kanaka Durga Temple is a famous temple in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located on the Indrakeeladri hill in the city of Vijayawada on the banks of Krishna River. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07 Vijaywada
Morning after breakfast excursion to Amaravati visit the Maha Stupa One of the four major places of Buddhist worship in the country, Amravathi is located near the ancient Satavahana capital, Dhyanyakataka. Over two thousand years ago on the south banks of the river Krishna, stood the Mahastupa, the largest stupa in the country, 36.5 ft across and girdled by a circulatory path. & the Interesting Archeological Museum. Later visit of Undavalli Caves The Undavalli caves are at a distance of 8 km from Vijayawada and nearly 280 km from Hyderabad.
The high hill over looking the Krishna river at the village of Undavalli, hosts fine specimens of cut-in architectural and sculptural models. This longeast oriented multi storeyed cave with a huge Anantasaya Vishnu figure, is one of the best and earliest type here.. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08 Vijaywada - Warangal
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Warangal upon arrival check in at the hotel.Afternoon visit of Ramappa temple, the 1000 Pillard temple, the magnificient Fort Ruins Ramappa Temple also known as the Ramalingeswara temple, is located 77 km from Warangal, the ancient capital of the Kakatiya dynasty,.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 Warangal – Hyderabad
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Hyderabad en- route visiting Carpet weaving center, Pembarthi Village for it Brass making & Kolapak for its 2000 years Jain temple. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Hyderabad
Morning After breakfast excursion to the famous Pochampally Village to witness the weaving of Silk & Cotton sarees. pochampalli cloths are woven. Pochampally is famous for the PURE SILK SAREES. They have a deseign of their own and are known as Pochampally Sarees. The colours are mesmarising and even more ashtonishing is the simple
methods they use to produce such majestic pochampalli saris!! .Rest of the day free of leisure. Overnight at the hotel

Day 11 Hyderabad (Golconda Festival)
Morning after breakfast excursion to Golconda Fort, Royal Qutb Shahi Tombs, Salarjung Museum, Charminar & Mecca Mosque. Full day celebration of Golconda festival. Ovenight at the hotel.

Day 12 Hyderabad - Nagarjuna Sagar
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Nagarjuna Sagar. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing Nagarjuna an artificial lake created by a dam across the river Krishna. This dam is one of the largest masonry dams in the world at a height of 124 metres. The lake has an area of 380 sq. metres. Anupo Anupu possesses fine examples of ancient Buddhist life. Reconstructed sites
include a 3rd century vihara, an amphitheater with acoustics, stupas, monasteries, a university, a sacrificial altar and a stadium. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 Nagarjuna Sagar – Srisailam
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Srisailam. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour visit of Mallikarjuna Temple one of the only twelve Jyotir Lingam temples of India. . Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 Srisailam – Kurnool
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Kurnool en-route visiting superb seventh century Chalukyan Nava Bramha temples Nava Bhramma temples dedicated to Lord Shiva were built by the Badami Chalukyas, about 200 years ago. The temples in Alampur exhibits excellent specimen of Chalukyan architecture and sculpture. Several sculptures on the temples which date back to the 8th century are still prominent and beautiful. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 Kurnool – Anantapur
Morning after breakfast at the hotel departure transfer to the Anantapur upon arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit to the beautiful Vijayanagar temple the great Nandi at Lepakshi & the Impressive fort Ruins at Penugonda. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 16 Anatapur – Bangalore
